It's on the front left system board between the heat sink/fan and the speaker assembly when the system is fully assembled and you look at the keyboard. The directions to replace the CMOS battery are on page 53 (pae 62 of the PDF) of the service manual. Use the procedures on previous pages to get to the final step. You'll need to turn off the laptop and disconnect all external devices. Next, remove the back cover (shown on page 32) and remove the system battery.

Then remove the 4 Philips screws and remove the system board. Disconnect the RTC clock battery cable from the system board and pry the battery out of socket. Do this carefully and replace the battery with a matching coin cell battery. Make sure to maintain the correct orientation. If you break the socket or wiring, you'd have to replace it with HP part 702853-001.
