Choose Plain Text Or Formatted Text (outlook 2016 For Mac
Hi, We can disable TNEF/Rich format when sending to outside domains, external mail user or contacts. However, we cannot do it by server side to block it for internal mail flow. As a Outlook client, we can select message format for all message include internal or external recipients. For your reference: If you want to disable TNEF/Rich format for internal mail flow, I suggest use transport agent to convert message to plain text format. Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help, and unmark the answers if they provide no help. If you have feedback for TechNet Support, contact tnmff@microsoft.com.
There is no option in Outlook to change this default; Outlook will always reply and forward in the same format (Plain Text, Rich Text or HTML) of the original message. This is to keep the original message intact, maintain the preference or technical limitation of the original sender. Hello ablebits, a Mac user of our team inserts a template within a Outlook desktop environment and gets this text formatted in Times New Roman. What could be the reason for that? I thought the template text is handled in plain text, especially in the free version.
